Kunstlotteri for Ukraine

It’s rare that I donate my actual artworks to a cause, however when I was invited to donate to the Blacksmiths Without Borders’s work in the Ukraine, it just felt so right, and so good on so many levels. I have not done any of my art workshops for and with refugees since my dear friend and co creator Ivanir died Nov 2020. When she died all I could do was paint. I painted 18 paintings in my series ‘Beautiful Days In Paradise’ - from the very last text she sent me ‘welcome to another beautiful day in paradise ’ The small paintings (15cm x 15cm) in this series I have called ‘light seeds’ of which you will find 4 in this lottery. Ivanir touched so many people, helped so many who had been displaced by war and persecution - these ‘seeds’ represent her light, my light, your light. This is my way of helping both the valuable, brave, courageous work the Blacksmiths are doing, while simultaneously keeping the work Ivanir and I did alive …
